Our Productions

Brevard Ballet Youth Company produces two productions every year, our annual production of The Nutcracker Ballet in December and a Spring performance in May. All of Brevard Ballet Youth Company's production are made up of local talent from the community featuring students from Brevard Ballet Academy as well as kids interested in performing from all over county. Props are hand-built by volunteers from the community and costumes are sewn by the company's talented wardrobe mistress, Joanna Hoke. The elaborate and colorful designs hint at the magic that is to come when dancers don the outfits and step onto the stage of the Eau Gallie Performing Arts Center. The stage team consists of Theatre Director, Ed Dunne and Eau Gallie High School students who are passionate about theatre and the arts, giving them the opportunity to learn from experts such as lighting director from the famous Mariinsky Theatre (St. Petersburg, Russia) Maxim Bondar.

Wow! Tonight's performance of the Nutcracker by Brevard Ballet Youth Company, was way better than I expected! It was to be a holiday treat for Mom. But, I was enthralled the entire time. From the costumes to the set design, it was mesmerizing. The performers were amazing! From opening curtain to the cast presentation, I was impressed with the skill and grace of each dancer. Growing up in DC and attending performances in NYC, I am so happy that we have such quality work here! Thank you!
